Forum - Christmas at my home

The participants of the project wrote about Christmas at their homes.

I celebrate X-mas with my family. We celebrate X-mas at the 24th december.  In the evening everybody come to us and we eat together.  Later we eat cake and drink coffe and unwrap the presents. The 26th december is also a public holiday and we go to a restaurant. By Pauline from Germany

We celebrate x-mas on the 24th December. The 25th and 26th are also public holidays.We don't go to the church. Normally I celebrate x-mas with my family. But sometimes I celebrate it also with my best friends. When I celebrate with my family : In the evening we eat something together. And then we unwrap the presents. But when I celebrate with my friends , We make a big party with Christmas songs and decoration and a lot of good drinks. And later we unwrap the presents. I think with my friends I have more fun . My christmas,
at holy evening, I eat saugseges and potatoe salad. At the evening we sit next the Christmas tree an open the gifts. Then I drive with a car to my father's house and make with him and  friends a holy evening party. At the first Christmas day I eat deer with my grandma. On Christmas day we get our Christmas tree and trim the Christmas tree. Sometimes come my grandparents to our house.  At 18.00 o' clock we eat lunch and sing Christmas songs. And then we unwrap  presents.

Some days before Christmas my grandma and my aunts come to us. My parents buy a Christmas tree. The next day we decorate the tree with Christmas balls and fairy lights. in the garden my father decorate fairy lights too. At Christmas day my mother and my grandma cook the Christmas dinner. At Christmas, my uncle aunt,  cousin  and grandma come to my home and together we got to the church. Than Santa Clause comes on 24.12 and we celebrate Christmas. We eat steak and have much fun. On the 24th december the most familys are meeting to eat.Or going to the church. Most familys get their presents in the evening. They children celebrate the day and the parents celebrate the night on the next day is the first christmas day nobody must work It's the same on the secound christmas day. I celebrate x-mas with my family in the evening. We eat together at the table.And then we unwarp the presents. In Germany we celebrate Christmas on 24th of December. Usually a few days ago before Christmas the whole family buys a Christmas tree . In the morning of 24th the Christmas tree is decorated. The rest of the day till evening we´re watching Christmas movies. In the evening there is the clause where the whole family like grandpa and grandma give presents to each other. After the clause we´re eating fondue which is a hot dish nude of malted cheese and wine and eaten with bread. On the first Christmas day all the other relatives come to us to eat Christmas all. In Poland Christmas starts on 24th of December .A lot of people decorate their houses, shops. Women prepare food and invite family . Kids decorate Christmas tree and sing carols .Everyone chooses a gift for friends or family . A family always look forward to the first star . When the first star appears the Christmas Eve starts .

I spend my Christmas with my familly. I go to my grandmother. I cook pierogi, bigos bake cake. These are our traditional food. I decorate grandmother's home. I bought food in shop with my parents. I love Christmas! Before 24th December I and my mother cook a lot of delicious food: ginger bread, poppy-seed cake, sauerkraut stew, we also fry carps. In the evening I and my father decorate the Christmas tree. It always looks beautifully. I spend Christmas with my family. On the Christmas Eve I, my two sisters, my mother and my father break the wafer. Later we sit at the table and eat food which I and my mother prepared. Under Christmas tree always lie presents. My favorite place in my town is WCK. This is something like a center of art in Włocłwek. There I have my art lessons. It's a place, where are a lot of events. Sometimes there are concerts of our music bands and small festivals, but I usually go there because of art extra lesson. I'm keen on going there too because it's artistic and friendly atmosphere.
